The Metro Jets could not hold down the Toledo Cherokee, and Cherokee erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win. Toledo never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Cherokee trailed 2-0 after a goal by Metro's Travis Baranowski at 5:14 in the second period. Toledo knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Zach Born at 19:19 in the third period. The Cherokee scored the game winner at 19:49 in the third period on a goal by Born. Toledo was led by Blake Podgorski, who had one goal. The Cherokee excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Toledo forced the Jets goalie Kameron Limburg to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Toledo also got a goal from Noah Szenderski as well. More assists for Toledo came via Zachary Armstrong, who had two and Tyler Zalecki, Dominic Antonelli, Brody Duncan, and Kyler Omey, who contributed one a piece. Metro kept the Cherokee's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Callan made 34 saves on 36 shots. Cooper McLean also scored for Metro. Other players who recorded assists for Metro were Josh Beleski, TJ Krajewski, Zach Mac Kay, and Zach Kopinski, who each chipped in one. Toledo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Limburg rejected 31 shots on goal for the Jets. Metro incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
