The Flint Junior Generals relied on the scoring touch of Justin Fisher, who netted two goals, to beat the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, 5-2.

Fisher scored on the power play at 8:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Flint and again while on the power play 12:22 into the first to make the score 2-0 Flint.

Others who scored for Flint included Zach Koonce, Conor Durgan, and Jacob Lainesse, who scored one goal each. In addition, Flint received assists from Oliver Lindstrom, Jordy Makranyi, Mark McGee, Nicholas Gnagni, Caleb Gannelli, and Brett Leppek, who each chipped in one and Austin Fletcher and Trevor Benaglio, who contributed two a piece.

Cleveland found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against Flint's defense.

Anders Franke made 11 saves for the Junior Generals on 13 shots. Flint incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joseph Moza rejected 25 shots on goal for the Jr. Lumberjacks. Cleveland incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
