A hat trick by Dominic Antonelli was the highlight in Cherokee's 4-2 win against the Michigan Mountain Cats.

Antonelli got on the scoresheet 4:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:06 into the first and at 17:49 into the second.

The Toledo Cherokee's penalty kill excelled, as Toledo gave up zero goals despite allowing 11 power plays.

The Cherokee forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 12 minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Toledo had been averaging 19.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Cherokee stifled Michigan's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Toledo forced the Mountain Cats goalie Kevin OShea to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

Toledo additionally got points from Tyler Zalecki, who also racked up one goal and two assists. In addition, Toledo received assists from Zachary Armstrong, who had two and Nick Foti, Austin Turner, Brody Duncan, and Kyler Omey, who contributed one a piece.
