North Iowa downs Twin City, 5-0

Brandon Anderson grabbed one point to lead the North Iowa Bulls to a 5-0 victory over the Twin City Steel.

North Iowa managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Bulls ended up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. Twin City was unable to stop North Iowa from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bulls eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

North Iowa also got points from Matt Kroska, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Dylan Zins, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for North Iowa included Ron Lindgren and Conor Jonasson, who each put in one. More assists for North Iowa came via Austin Jackson, who had two and Matthew Kaitchuck, Zach Jones, Chris Howard, Richie Marenis, Andrew Halama, and Timothy Santopoalo, who each chipped in one.

The Steel were held below their usual level of production. Twin City puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

Chris Amsden rejected 19 shots on goal for North Iowa. The Bulls registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Jackson Germaine recorded 32 saves for the Steel. Twin City incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
