The Peoria Mustangs had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over the Battle Creek Revolution. Peoria was led by Austin Ziakas, who had one goal and one assist. Ziakas scored 16:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Gage VanOrder picked up the assist. The Mustangs avoided man-down situations well, totaling one major for five minutes in penalty time. Peoria ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Mustangs was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Peoria allows 2.5 goals per game. Battle Creek was unable to stop the Mustangs from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 62 shots on goal. The Mustangs' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Peoria also got points from Brendan Murphy, who also racked up one goal and one assist and VanOrder, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Peoria included Joshua Hart, who had two and Nathan Chasteen and Brennan Anderson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Peoria received assists from Levi Armstrong, Connor Millard, and Andrew Scofield, who contributed one a piece. Peoria's defense shut down the Revolution's forwards for much of the game, and Battle Creek got off only 11 shots during the contest. Jarin Aden recorded 11 saves for the Mustangs. Peoria registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Revolution's Nathan Mortland stopped 55 shots out of the 62 that he faced. Battle Creek totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and had no power play opportunities.
