Huge game by Santopoalo boosts North Iowa over Cleveland, 6-2Romeoville Rink 2 Mon, Nov 25, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The North Iowa Bulls' Timothy Santopoalo had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks. Santopoalo found the back of the net on the power play 14:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 4:34 into the third to make the score 5-2 North Iowa.Cleveland was unable to stop North Iowa from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bulls eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. North Iowa additionally got points from Taylor Brown, who also registered one goal and two assists and Conor Jonasson, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for North Iowa included Chancie Hanson and Richie Marenis, who each put in one. In addition, North Iowa received assists from Matt Kroska, Andrew Halama, and Brandon Anderson, who each chipped in one and Ron Lindgren and Kyle Krueger, who contributed two a piece. The Jr. Lumberjacks were helped by Jared Johnson, who racked up one goal. Johnson scored on the power play 16:49 into the second period to make the score 4-2 North Iowa. A high sticking penalty on Santopoalo had put Cleveland on the power play. Stefan Horgas assisted on the tally. Kyle Gonzalez also scored for Cleveland.
