Alexander Carlsson lifted the St. Louis Jr. Blues to a 4-1 victory with a hat trick against the Dallas Jr. Stars. Carlsson's first goal came 1:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:39 into the second and at 9:05 into the third.St. Louis pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 36 penalty minutes. The Jr. Blues' offense rang up 33 shots on Dallas' net. Team could not crack the Jr. Stars' penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage. St. Louis also got a goal from Tommy Heinzman as well. More assists for St. Louis came via Mike Lozano, who had three and Adam Roeder, Zane OBryan, and Andrew Kovacich, who contributed one a piece. Dallas could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Jr. Stars average 3.3 goals per game. Dallas had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. The Jr. Stars could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game. Cooper Cothran rejected 23 shots on goal for St. Louis. Chris Mallon recorded 29 saves for Dallas.
