Dallas blows out Battle Creek, 4-0

The Dallas Jr. Stars were firing on all cylinders against the Battle Creek Revolution, and when the final buzzer sounded Jr. Stars emerged with a 4-0 win.

Battle Creek's power play was ineffective against Dallas' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Jr. Stars were led by Alex MacInnis, who racked up one goal and one assist. MacInnis scored on the power play 13:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dallas. Dallas had taken the advantage when the Revolution's Eric Tucker got sent off for slashing. Maxim Ledyankin assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Stars' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Battle Creek power plays. Dallas forced Battle Creek goalie Tyler Babinski to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The defensemen of the Jr. Stars were also effective in the Revolution's zone, and came away with three goals.

Dallas additionally got points from Cam Choate, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Robert Gervino, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Corey Burns also scored for Dallas. In addition, Dallas received assists from Brandon Salisbury, Raurie Petrich, and Colin South, who each chipped in one.

Penalties took their toll on Battle Creek, as its penalty kill unit let in three power play goals.

Steffan Muller recorded 20 saves for Dallas. The Jr. Stars incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Revolution's Babinski stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Battle Creek incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
