Bo Gronseth gave the Alexandria Blizzard a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Flint Junior Generals when he scored 49 seconds into the extra period. Alexandria came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Blizzard fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by Flint's Mark McGee at 14:45 in the second period. Alexandria knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Gronseth at 13:38 in the third period. Gronseth had a great game for the Blizzard, netting two goals. The Alexandria penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 12 minors and three majors for 69 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 36.0 minutes per game the Blizzard had been spending in the box. Alexandria's offense rang up 32 shots on the Junior Generals' net.
