Plaszcz's goals lift Breezy Point to 6-3 victory over Sugar Land

The Breezy Point North Stars relied on the scoring touch of Jon Plaszcz, who netted four goals, to beat the Sugar Land Imperials, 6-3.

Plaszcz's first goal came 2:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:59 into the second, at 4:59 into the second, and at 19:27 into the second.

Sugar Land was unable to stop Breezy Point from sending pucks towards the net, and the North Stars eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Breezy Point bested its season scoring average. The North Stars have scored at the pace of 2.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Breezy Point got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game.

Others who scored for Breezy Point included Blair Seitz and Russel Barone, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Chris Hjorth, who had two, Kyle Eberwein, who had three, and Crosby Steen and Kyle Whipple, who contributed one a piece.

The Imperials were held below their usual level of production. Sugar Land puts an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game.

The Imperials were helped by Yves Bader, who grabbed one goal. Bader scored 17:41 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Sugar Land. Avik Bordak provided the assist. Sugar Land also got points from Eligah Bordak, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Austin Givens also scored for Sugar Land. More assists for Sugar Land came via Zachary Blohm, Alex Tilman, Tucker Spooner, and Chance Rickel, who each chipped in one.

Joey Bergquist rejected 18 shots on goal for the North Stars. Breezy Point incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matt Douglas recorded 34 saves for Sugar Land. The Imperials incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
