Twin City downs Breezy Point in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Twin City Steel's Tony Arias scored 1:16 into overtime to beat the Breezy Point North Stars, 2-1 (OT).

Twin City's Jackson Germaine was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past him. Germaine certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.24 entering the contest.

The Steel were paced by Arias, who tallied one goal.

Twin City forced Breezy Point goalie Joey Bergquist to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Jace Childs also scored for Twin City. More assists for Twin City came via Jerod Sabaska, Tanner Duffney, Isaac Hale, and Alexander Konnov, who each chipped in one.

The North Stars' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Twin City power plays.

Breezy Point was led by Jason Pischke, who scored the team's only goal. Pischke scored on the power play 18:41 into the third period to make the score 1-1. The North Stars had gotten the advantage when the Steel's Ben Ihrie was sent off for interference. Scott Schroeder picked up the assist.

Twin City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joey Bergquist made 33 saves for Breezy Point on 35 shots. The North Stars totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
