The Granite City Lumberjacks used a three-goal second period to put away the Minnesota Flying Aces, 7-2.

Granite City was led by Aidan Verbeke, who registered one goal and one assist. Verbeke scored 2:06 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Granite City. Drew Otto picked up the assist.

The Lumberjacks made Minnesota's netminders to work between the pipes, firing 40 shots and forcing 33 saves. Jaxson Gosnell made 18 stops and Mike Stumpf made 15. Granite City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Minnesota power plays. The Lumberjacks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
