The Breezy Point North Stars fell to the Granite City Lumberjacks, 5-2. Granite City was led by Travis Kothenbeutel, who racked up two goals and one assist. Kothenbeutel scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Granite City. The Lumberjacks had taken the advantage when Breezy Point's Spencer Sabourin got sent off for high sticking. Drew Otto assisted on the tally. Kothenbeutel's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Granite City with 12:13 left in the third period. Tobias Gabrielsen provided the assist. Granite City also got points from Otto, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Granite City also got a goal from Gavin Porter as well. Breezy Point had gotten the advantage when Granite City's Roy Grandov was sent off for tripping. Bo Borowski assisted on the tally. Whipple's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Granite City with 19:32 left in the third period. Ryan Bittner picked up the assist. Austin Wilson rejected 24 shots on goal for the Lumberjacks. Granite City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Troy Pierce made 25 saves for the North Stars on 30 shots. Breezy Point incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
