Andrew Scofield lifted the Peoria Mustangs to a 10-0 victory with a hat trick against the Battle Creek Revolution. Scofield's first goal came 9:56 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:09 into the first and at 2:27 into the third.Peoria forced Revolution's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, finishing with 59 shots and forcing 49 saves. Zach Kooi made 49 stops and Tyler Babinski made zero. The Mustangs stifled Battle Creek's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Peoria's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Revolution. The Mustangs allow 2.8 goals per game. Peoria surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Mustangs average 5.3 goals per contest. Peoria also got points from Sam Turner, who also tallied three goals and one assist, Austin Wisely, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Gage VanOrder, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Levi Armstrong also scored for Peoria. In addition, Peoria received assists from Jordan Wright, who had one, Nathan Chasteen, who had five, and Austin Ziakas, Brennan Anderson, and Joshua Hart, who contributed two a piece. Battle Creek managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Revolution ended up below its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. Battle Creek found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 12 shots against Peoria's defense. The Mustangs' Jarin Aden stopped 12 shots out of the 12 that he faced. Peoria incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Revolution registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
