The Dallas Jr. Stars had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 10-3 win over the Sugar Land Imperials.

The Dallas penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled five minors and two majors for 40 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game the Jr. Stars had been spending in the box. Dallas forced Imperials' goaltenders to work in net, taking 42 shots and forcing 32 saves. Matt Douglas made 11 stops and Seth Edeen made 21. The Jr. Stars put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Sugar Land to score on any of its four power plays. Dallas' goal total was higher than its season average. The Jr. Stars have scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign.
