The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks and the Pittsburgh Vengeance were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cleveland made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brendan Logan at 19:44 of the third period. Nick Balavich had two goals and one assist to lead the Jr. Lumberjacks. Balavich scored the first of his two goals at 9:46 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jared Johnson picked up the assist. Balavich's next tally made the score 3-2 Cleveland with 8:55 left in the third period. Cleveland had taken the advantage when Pittsburgh's Tyler Speis got sent off for tripping. Avery Huibregtse assisted on the tally. Jason Kumpfmiller made 36 saves for the Vengeance on 40 shots. Pittsburgh incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
