The North Iowa Bulls used a four-goal second period to put away the Breezy Point North Stars, 11-1.

Timothy Santopoalo had four goals and one assist to lead North Iowa. Santopoalo notched his first tally 19:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:34 into the second, at 11:47 into the second, and at 14:57 into the third.

Breezy Point's 12 penalties came back to haunt it, as the North Stars let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

The Bulls forced North Stars' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 50 shots and forcing 39 saves. Troy Pierce made 34 stops and Matt Memolo made five. North Iowa bested its season scoring average. This season, the Bulls average 7.3 goals per contest. The defensemen of North Iowa were also effective in Breezy Point's zone, and came away with three goals.

North Iowa additionally got points from Ron Lindgren, who also had one goal and one assist, Kurt Halbach, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Richie Marenis, who also finished with one goal and five assists to lead the team in points. North Iowa also had goals scored by Logan Murphy, who had two and Brandon Anderson and Andrew Halama, who each put in one. In addition, North Iowa received assists from Chancie Hanson, who had three, Matt Kroska, who had four, and Zach Jones, Taylor Brown, and Dylan Zins, who contributed one a piece.
