Huge game by Hunter boosts Alexandria over Minnesota, 5-1

Behind a great game by Drake Hunter, who had two goals and one assist, the Alexandria Blizzard defeated the Minnesota Flying Aces, 5-1.

Hunter's tallies came at 14:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alexandria and 15:06 into the first to make the score 2-0 Alexandria.

Alexandria's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Minnesota power plays. The Blizzard's offense rang up 38 shots on Minnesota's net.

Alexandria additionally got points from Mick Dhein, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Alexandria also got a goal from Aammir Freese as well. In addition, Alexandria received assists from Danny Pelzer and Tom Schmidt, who each chipped in one and Jody Randall and Aaron Ryback, who contributed two a piece.

Evan Bisek rejected 23 shots on goal for Alexandria. The Blizzard totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Jaxson Gosnell made 33 saves for the Flying Aces on 38 shots. Minnesota ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major.
