The St. Louis Jr. Blues came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Twin City Steel, but did just enough to escape with a 6-5 victory. St. Louis led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Jr. Blues' Zane OBryan's scored at 4:31 in the second period to put St. Louis up 4-1. Andrew McGlynn had two goals to lead the Jr. Blues to victory. McGlynn's tallies came short handed at 1:01 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Louis and 5:05 into the third to make the score 5-4 St. Louis. St. Louis forced Steel's goaltenders to work without much rest, firing 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Sawyer Marshall made 11 stops and Thomas Terrance made 34. The Jr. Blues' goal total was higher than their season average. St. Louis has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. St. Louis additionally got points from OBryan, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Louis also got a goal from Samuel Maddox as well. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Tommy Heinzman, who had two and Kyle Meeh, Adam Roeder, and Mike Lozano, who contributed one a piece. The Jr. Blues were unable to stop Twin City from sending pucks towards the net, and the Steel eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Twin City was led by Tony Arias, who tallied three goals.
