Missoula Maulers falls to xBoulder Bison in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

xBoulder Bison pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Missoula Maulers on a clutch goal by Tyler Scott.

xBoulder Bison almost relinquished a three-score lead. xBoulder Bison made it 3-0 on a power play goal by Chad Lopez at 11:58 in the second period. Missoula Maulers got to within 3-2 on a goal by Joey Sundgren at 8:23 in the third period.

xBoulder Bison was led by Scott, who had one goal. Scott scored 3:20 into overtime to make the score 4-3 xBoulder Bison. Tanner West picked up the assist.

xBoulder Bison managed to stay out of the box for the most part, finishing with one minor for 22 minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above xBoulder Bison's average of 19.0 minutes in penalty time per game. xBoulder Bison got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

xBoulder Bison additionally got points from Mark Kepple, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Lopez, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. xBoulder Bison also got a goal from Bjorn Bredeson as well. Missoula Maulers was helped by Erich Jaeger, who registered one goal. Jaeger scored 3:15 into the third period to make the score 3-1 xBoulder Bison. Max Rebholz assisted on the tally. Missoula Maulers also got points from Sundgren, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Anders Nord also scored for Missoula Maulers. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula Maulers were John Andersson, Henrik Ekestahl, Nikita Sheptytskyy, and Jordan Wheatly, who each chipped in one.

Yinger rejected 59 shots on goal for xBoulder Bison. xBoulder Bison registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Missoula Maulers' Sebastian Gronborg stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Missoula Maulers incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
