Kevin Leuenberger scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and Ontario Avalanche picked up the extra point in a 4-3 (2-0 SO) win over San Diego Gulls. The shootout lasted for five attempts between the teams. Ontario Avalanche's other shootout goal was scored by Leuenberger.Ontario Avalanche saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout.
