Eddie Edmonds netted a hat trick to lead Team North over Team East, 8-6. Edmonds got on the scoresheet zero seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 19:35 into the second and at 5:07 into the third.Team North found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Team North averages 4.0 goals per game. The defensemen of Team North were also effective in Team East's zone, and came away with four goals. Team North also got points from Greg Granger, who also racked up one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Team North included Neil Norman, who had two and Carl Chapman and Sam Smith, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Team North were Ian Irwin, Jimmy Jarvis, Peter Puck, Tom Treble, David Donaldson, and Ken Kember, who contributed one a piece and Harry Henry and Mike Moore, who each chipped in two. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Team East was helped by Cam Carson, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Carson scored the first of his two goals at 15:00 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jim Johns provided the assist. Carson's next tally made the score 6-5 Team North with 3:56 left in the third period. Harry Hunter assisted on the tally. Team East additionally got points from Bill Stop, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Bob Bailey, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tom Tough also scored for Team East. In addition, Team East received assists from Ed Edwards, who had two and Frank Freestone and Ken Kemp, who contributed one a piece. Aaron Amber made 17 saves for Team North on 23 shots. Team North incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Bob Seve rejected 17 shots on goal for Team East. Team East incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
