Mark Rodgers grabbed one point to lead the xSt. Catharines Falcons to a 6-3 victory over the xFort Erie Meteors. In a losing effort, xFort Erie was paced by Kyle Marino, who tallied two goals. Marino scored the first of his two goals at 15:32 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jesse Pereira assisted on the tally. Marino's next tally made the score 3-2 xSt. Catharines with 3:12 left in the second period. Pereira picked up the assist. xSt. Catharines' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four xFort Erie power plays. The Falcons forced the Meteors goalie Liam Conway to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. xSt. Catharines additionally got points from Broderick Kelly, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Aaron Taylor, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for xSt. Catharines included Kyle Woodhouse, Greg Jambrosich, and Ryan Doucette, who scored one goal each. More assists for xSt. Catharines came via Dillan Walker, who had three, Tyler Jackson and Nigel Slade, who contributed one a piece, and Brandon Cercone and Mitch Bursey, who each chipped in two. xSt. Catharines was unable to stop xFort Erie from sending pucks towards the net, and the Meteors eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Sam Quaranta also scored for xFort Erie. In addition, xFort Erie received assists from Braden Kavaratzis, who had two and Carson Johnstone and Jared Marino, who contributed one a piece. Knick Dawe recorded 42 saves for the Falcons. xSt. Catharines incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Team's Yanni Rallis and Cam Blakely were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. xFort Erie's Conway stopped 41 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The Meteors incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For xFort Erie, Nicolas Giancola was ejected from the game.
