xSt. Thomas squeaks by St. Marys, 6-4

The game between the xSt. Thomas Stars and the St. Marys Lincolns was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end xSt. Thomas emerged with a 6-4 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Aiden Jamieson secured the win for the Stars with a goal in the third period.

Chris Carreiro and Jamieson provided the spark for xSt. Thomas, combining for three goals and one assist. Carreiro had two goals and Jamieson also added one goal and one assist.

The Stars kept St. Marys' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 39 saves on 45 shots. xSt. Thomas outdid its season average for goals scored. The Stars average 3.4 goals per game. Penalties took their toll on xSt. Thomas, as its penalty kill unit let in three power play goals.

xSt. Thomas additionally got points from John Warren, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Jamieson, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for xSt. Thomas included Spencer Hutchinson and Luc Knight, who each put in one. More assists for xSt. Thomas came via Cam Garrow, Carson Moniz, Jared Baribeau, Alex Morgan, Josh Coyle, and Will Goodhue, who each chipped in one.

The Stars were unable to stop the Lincolns from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Marys eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

The Lincolns were led by Mike Siddall, who grabbed two goals. Siddall scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. St. Marys had gotten the advantage when xSt. Thomas' Garrow was sent off for delay of game. Brandon Morrow assisted on the tally. Siddall's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 St. Marys with 12:18 left in the third period. The Lincolns had gained a power play chance when Matt Tsioros was whistled for high sticking. Braydon Blight picked up the assist. St. Marys also had goals scored by Max Naus and Mitch Read, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Marys received assists from Garrett James, who had two and Nico Giannantonio, Cody Hern, and Rai Diloreto, who contributed one a piece.

Nikolas Dampier made 30 saves for the Stars on 34 shots. xSt. Thomas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Marys incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
