The Listowel Cyclones' Ben Shelley had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-4 win over the Guelph Hurricanes. Shelley found the back of the net 3:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Listowel and again while on the power play 12:22 into the second to make the score 4-3 Listowel.Listowel forced Guelph's goalies to work in net, ripping 32 shots and forcing 25 saves. Stormer Santana made 11 stops and Bradley Van Schubert made 14. The Cyclones' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Listowel averages 2.9 goals per contest. The Cyclones found themselves short handed often, totaling 38 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays. Listowel also got points from Kenny Huether, who also had one goal and one assist, Derek Elliot, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Ted Nichol, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Listowel also got a goal from Tanner Mighton as well. Guelph additionally got points from Craig Martini, who also had one goal and one assist and McFadden, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Dylan Sayle also scored for Guelph. In addition, Guelph received assists from Sebastian Stangherlin, Noah Carroll, Lawrence Pagnan, and Chad Herron, who each chipped in one. Daniel Dekoning made 23 saves for Listowel on 27 shots. The Cyclones registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. For the Hurricanes, Pagnan was ejected from the game.
