The game between the St. Catharines Falcons and the Caledonia Corvairs was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Catharines emerged with a 4-3 win. The Falcons gained the winning advantage on a goal by Ryan Doucette 13:30 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Doucette had a great game for St. Catharines, netting two goals. The Falcons' offense rang up 38 shots on Caledonia's net. St. Catharines additionally got points from Mark Rodgers, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Catharines also got a goal from Yanni Rallis as well. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Brennan Feasey, who had two and Kyle Woodhouse, Greg Jambrosich, Brandon Cercone, and Mitch Bursey, who each chipped in one. The Corvairs forced St. Catharines goalie Knick Dawe to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Caledonia was led by Cody Brown, who finished with two goals. Brown scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 52 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia. A checking from behind penalty on Brad Col had put the Corvairs on the power play. Kyler Nixon picked up the assist. Brown's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Caledonia with 14:58 left in the third period. Nixon assisted on the tally. Jeffrey Malott also scored for Caledonia. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Mitch Brown and Jayme Forslund, who contributed one a piece. Knick Dawe made 31 saves for the Falcons on 34 shots. St. Catharines incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Falcons, Col and Tommy Barszcz were ejected from the contest. Colin Furlong rejected 34 shots on goal for Caledonia. The Corvairs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
