Cambridge clinches tight 1-0 victory against Brampton

The game between the Cambridge Winter Hawks and the Brampton Bombers proved to be an even match, as Cambridge took home the victory by scoring only once in a 1-0 win.

Tyler Peters provided the assist on the the contest's lone goal.

The Winter Hawks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Cambridge was paced by Jordan Chard, who registered one goal. Chard scored 7:28 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Cambridge. Peters provided the assist.

The Winter Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Brampton power plays. Cambridge could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Winter Hawks average 3.4 goals per game. Cambridge featured an improved defense during the game. The Winter Hawks allow 2.9 goals per game.

More assists for Cambridge came via Devin Shell, who had one.

Brampton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Bombers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Brampton puts an average of 2.7 pucks into the net per game.

Darren Huck made 23 saves for Cambridge on 23 shots. Scott Patton rejected 24 shots on goal for the Bombers. Brampton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
