The xSt. Thomas Stars was within striking distance after one period, but the xSarnia Legionnaires put the pedal down in the second en route to a 7-2 victory. xSarnia pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. The Legionnaires were sparked by Riley Babkirk, who tallied one goal and one assist. Babkirk scored 2:53 into the second period to make the score 2-0 xSarnia. Riley Roberts assisted on the tally. xSarnia forced Stars' goalies to work without much rest, launching 34 shots and forcing 27 saves. Nikolas Dampier made 11 stops and Dane Gubbels made 16. The Legionnaires' goal total was higher than their season average. xSarnia averages 4.5 goals per game. xSarnia additionally got points from Cody Trowell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for xSarnia included Ryan Vendramin, who had three and Josh Kestner and Brandon Layman, who scored one goal each.
