Huge game by Dauda boosts Cambridge over Brampton, 4-1

Adam Dauda was all over the ice for the Cambridge Winter Hawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Cambridge's 4-1 win over the Brampton Bombers.

Dauda scored on the power play at 2:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Cambridge and again while on the power play 4:30 into the second to make the score 2-0 Cambridge.

Brampton's power play was ineffective against the Winter Hawks' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Cambridge capitalized on the Bombers' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage.

Cambridge also got points from Cody Gratton, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Anthony Guido also scored for Cambridge. In addition, Cambridge received assists from Scott Pawson, who had three and Matt Pinder and Hudson Michaelis, who each chipped in one.

Brampton was led by Chris Maione, who scored the team's only goal. Maione scored on the power play 15:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cambridge. The Bombers earned a power play opportunity when Brandon Plourde was put in the box for cross checking. Owen Burry assisted on the tally.

Lucas Machalski made 24 saves for the Winter Hawks on 25 shots. Cambridge ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. The Winter Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Malcolm Bilton was ejected from the game. Bryan Raymond rejected 25 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. For Brampton, Brandon Stapley was ejected from the game.
