The St. Catharines Falcons rallied from two goals down to secure a 5-4 win over the Ancaster Avalanche. St. Catharines let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Falcons took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Nigel Slade at 1:45 in the first period. St. Catharines went down 4-2 after Ancaster's Brett Farrelly put the puck home at 13:40 in the third period. After evening things up at 4-4 on a goal by Greg Jambrosich at 16:10 in the third, the Falcons got the game-winner from Yanni Rallis at 18:29 in the third period. St. Catharines was led by Rallis, who racked up one goal. St. Catharines additionally got points from Jambrosich, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Ryan Doucette, who also had one goal and one assist. Aaron Taylor also scored for St. Catharines. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Mitch Bursey, who had three and Brad Col, Kyle Woodhouse, Tommy Barszcz, Dilan Walker, and Brennan Feasey, who each chipped in one. Ancaster also got points from Ryan Lewis, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Ancaster included Blake Luscombe and Christopher Klack, who each put in one. Jonathon D Ilario recorded 26 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Braydon Banitsiotis made 23 saves for the Avalanche on 28 shots. Ancaster incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Avalanche ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Guitard was ejected from the game.
