Kitchener downs Elmira in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Kitchener Dutchmen pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Elmira Sugar Kings on a clutch goal by Clayton Greer.

Kitchener overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Dutchmen was down 2-0 after a goal by Elmira's Zac Coulter at 10:11 in the first period. Kitchener tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Craig Johnson at 14:30 in the third period.

In the losing effort, the Sugar Kings were led by Coulter, who finished with two goals. Coulter scored the first of his two goals at 1:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Elmira. Coulter's next tally made the score Elmira with 9:49 left in the first period. Brett Parsons provided the assist.

The Dutchmen's offense rang up 37 shots on Elmira's net.

Others who scored for Kitchener included Kegan Blasby, Jordan Delaurier, and Keli Grant, who each put in one. In addition, Kitchener received assists from Adam Kawelic(APM), who had two and Mac Nichol, Jacob Cascagnette, and Dylan Bursey, who each chipped in one.

More assists for Elmira came via Adam Brubacher, Adam Campagnolo, and Mitch Wright, who contributed one a piece.

Marc Williams made 20 saves for Kitchener on 23 shots. The Dutchmen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hayden Neuman recorded 33 saves for the Sugar Kings. Elmira incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
