The Port Colborne Pirates could not stop the Fort Erie Meteors' Braden Kavaratzis, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-4 win. Kavaratzis' first goal came 16:13 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:23 into the second and at 9:38 into the third.Fort Erie forced Pirates' netminders to work without much rest, racking up 49 shots and forcing 40 saves. Jake Danson made 35 stops and Braeden Thoms made five. The Meteors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Fort Erie found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Meteors have scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Fort Erie's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Meteors could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Fort Erie additionally got points from Richard DeMarco, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Carson Johnstone, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Jared Marino, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Sam Quaranta, who also registered one goal and three assists. Cody Levasseur assisted on the tally. Learn's next tally made the score 2-1 Port Colborne with 17:10 left in the second period. Cody Mintz picked up the assist. Port Colborne also got points from Spencer Fox, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Levasseur, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
