Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Brampton Bombers defeated the Elmira Sugar Kings in a shootout 7-6 (1-0 SO). The two teams needed five turns to complete the shootout.Brampton overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bombers trailed 4-1 after a goal by Elmira's Adam Campagnolo at 5:04 in the second period. Brampton tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Cameron Cruickshank at 10:36 in the third period. The Bombers kept the Sugar Kings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jonathan Reinhart made 29 saves on 36 shots. Brampton's goal total was higher than its season average. The Bombers average 2.9 goals per game. Brampton was led by Reid Jackman, who tallied three goals and two assists. Brampton also got points from Cruickshank, who also registered two goals and two assists. Brampton also got a goal from Chris Maione as well.
