Denomme's hat trick boosts xLaSalle over St. Marys, 12-5

Dylan Denomme lifted the xLaSalle Vipers to a 12-5 victory with a hat trick against the St. Marys Lincolns.

Denomme's first goal came 2:12 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:12 into the first and at 6:41 into the third.

xLaSalle led 7-2 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Vipers made Lincolns' goaltenders to work between the pipes, totaling 66 shots and forcing 54 saves. Andrew Masters made 47 stops and Kyle Sephton made seven. xLaSalle outdid its season average for goals scored. The Vipers have scored at the pace of 4.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

xLaSalle additionally got points from Mark Manchurek, who also registered four goals and two assists, Daniel Beaudoin, who also had one goal and one assist, Aaron Luchuk, who also tallied one goal and four assists, and Devon Paliani, who also racked up one goal and one assist. xLaSalle also had goals scored by Nicolas Crescenzi and Rio Anzolin, who scored one goal each. In addition, xLaSalle received assists from Austin Hall, Nathan Savage, Zack Percy, Nathan Veres, and Brendan McCann, who each chipped in one and Liam Murray, Ben Hanus, and Andrew Burns, who contributed two a piece.

St. Marys kept xLaSalle's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cameron Zanussi made 27 saves on 32 shots. The Lincolns surpassed their usual scoring output this season. St. Marys averages 2.4 goals per game.

The Lincolns were helped by Rai Diloreto, who registered one goal and two assists. Diloreto scored on the power play 17:57 into the first period to make the score 6-1 xLaSalle. St. Marys had gained a power play chance when Billy Eansor was whistled for high sticking. Mike Siddall provided the assist. St. Marys also got points from Max Naus, who also had two goals and one assist, Cody Filson, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Garret James (APM), who also racked up one goal and one assist.

The Vipers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Lincolns totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. St. Marys ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Luke Jackson was ejected from the game.
