The xStrathroy Rockets could not hold down the xSarnia Legionnaires, and Legionnaires erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win. xSarnia never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Legionnaires trailed 2-0 after a power play goal by xStrathroy's Brett Dalton at 16:39 in the first period. xSarnia tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Josh Kestner at 18 seconds in the third period. The Legionnaires netted the game winner at 7:29 in the third period on a goal by Kestner. xSarnia's penalty kill excelled, as the Legionnaires gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. xSarnia kept the Rockets' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jack Moylan made 29 saves on 32 shots. The Legionnaires were held back by their power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances. xSarnia was led by Jay Clarke, who registered one goal and one assist. xSarnia also got a goal from Bobby King as well. In addition, xSarnia received assists from Jordan Fogarty, who had one and Davis Boyer, who had two. The xStrathroy penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 10 minors and one major for 25 minutes in penalty time. The Rockets surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. More assists for xStrathroy came via Shawn Grogan, who had two and Mike Mandarelli and Dylan Wilson-Foote, who each chipped in one. Hunter Johnson made 28 saves for the Legionnaires on 30 shots. xSarnia ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. The Legionnaires ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and PJ Vandervaart was ejected from the game. For xStrathroy, Jack Van Boekel was ejected from the game.
