The Listowel Cyclones and the Brampton Bombers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Listowel made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Kevin Gergley's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. The Cyclones were paced by Gergley, who grabbed one goal. Gergley scored 11:15 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Listowel. Ted Nichol assisted on the tally. Listowel additionally got points from Kenny Huether, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Listowel included Ray McFalls and Tim Nauta, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Listowel were Sam Harris, Connor Shaw, and Derek Elliot, who each chipped in one. Brampton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Listowel power plays. The Bombers forced Listowel goalie Tanner Topham to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Brampton was helped by Greg Wilson, who finished with one goal. Wilson scored 15:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Listowel. Brandon Stapley picked up the assist. Brampton also got a goal from Cameron Cruickshank as well. In addition, Brampton received assists from Jacob Arsenault (APJ), who had one. Tanner Topham made 36 saves for the Cyclones on 38 shots. Listowel incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Bombers' Scott Patton stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Brampton incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Bombers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Reid Jackman was ejected from the game.
