The xLondon Nationals tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the xLeamington Flyers held on for a 2-1 victory. xLeamington made the score 2-0 on a goal by Kyle Shaw at 10:53 in the first period, and xLondon got as close as 2-1 when Chris Maton scored 17:27 into the third period. Shaw had two goals to lead the Flyers to victory. xLeamington's offense operated below it season average. The Flyers average 4.7 goals per game. The defense for xLeamington tightened up when it had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 12 the Nationals power plays. Other players who recorded assists for xLeamington were David Dalby, Chris Scott, and Tony Spidalieri, who contributed one a piece. xLondon could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Nationals put an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. xLondon forced the Flyers goalie Austyn Roudebush to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. For the Nationals, Ryan Shipley was ejected from the game.
