Lambton Shores' comeback falls short, xLaSalle wins 6-4

The Lambton Shores Predators almost clawed their way back from a four-goal deficit, but the xLaSalle Vipers managed to pull out a 6-4 win in the end.

xLaSalle led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Vipers' Aaron Luchuk's scored on the power play at 34 seconds in the third period to put xLaSalle up 4-0.

Dylan Denomme had two goals and one assist to lead the Vipers. Denomme scored the first of his two goals at 11:16 into the third period to make the score 5-3 xLaSalle. Luchuk provided the assist. Denomme's next tally made the score 6-4 xLaSalle with four seconds left in the third period. Austin Hall picked up the assist.

xLaSalle stifled Lambton Shores' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Predators were unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and xLaSalle eventually piled up 55 shots on goal.

xLaSalle additionally got points from Mark Manchurek, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Luchuk, who also grabbed two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Billy Eansor also scored for xLaSalle. Other players who recorded assists for xLaSalle were Brett Langlois, who had two and Nikko Sablone, Blake Jones, and Andrew Burns, who contributed one a piece.

Lambton Shores was led by Nick Sproveiro, who registered one goal and one assist. Sproveiro scored 8:38 into the third period to make the score 4-3 xLaSalle. Matthew Kenney provided the assist. Others who scored for Lambton Shores included Austin Fetterly, Colin Burns, and Brendan Trottier, who each put in one. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Steven Beenackers, who had two and Bryan Boersma, Ryan Gruszka, Kirk Dorman, and Ryan Fraser, who each chipped in one.

Cameron Zanussi rejected 26 shots on goal for the Vipers. xLaSalle incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Justin Fazio recorded 49 saves for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
