Patton leads Brampton to shutout victory over Waterloo

Waterloo Rec Complex    Sun, Jan 05, 2014

Scott Patton was superb between the pipes for the Brampton Bombers, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Waterloo Siskins.

Phil Caputo had a great game for Brampton, netting two goals. Caputo found the back of the net on the power play 49 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brampton and again while on the power play 6:11 into the third to make the score 3-0 Brampton.

The Bombers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Waterloo to score on any of its four power plays. Brampton forced the Siskins goalie Ryan Hergott to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
