The St. Catharines Falcons' Ryan Doucette scored 3:09 into overtime to beat the Fort Erie Meteors, 4-3 (OT). St. Catharines was led by Doucette, who grabbed one goal. In the losing effort, Fort Erie was led by Braden Kavaratzis, who had two goals. Kavaratzis scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. Jesse Pereira picked up the assist. Kavaratzis' next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 11:43 left in the second period. A head contact penalty on Brad Col had put the Meteors on the power play. Nik Passero provided the assist. Fort Erie was unable to stop the Falcons from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Catharines eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. St. Catharines additionally got points from Yanni Rallis, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Aaron Taylor and Kevin Guzzo, who each put in one. More assists for St. Catharines came via Kyle Woodhouse, Tommy Barszcz, and Brennan Feasey, who each chipped in one and Mitch Bursey and Dilan Walker, who contributed two a piece. Fort Erie also got points from Kyle Marino, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Carson Johnstone and Jared Marino, who each chipped in one. Knick Dawe made 26 saves for the Falcons on 29 shots. St. Catharines totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. The Falcons ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Col was ejected from the game. The Meteors' Matt Baker stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Fort Erie incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Meteors, Aaron Wanat was ejected from the game.
