Greg Jambrosich scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the St. Catharines Falcons held off the challenges of the Thorold Blackhawks in a tough 6-4 win.

St. Catharines took over the lead for good with a goal by Jambrosich at 14:00 in the first period. Mark Rodgers assisted on the tally.

The Falcons got the win on the strength of a great game by Rodgers, who had one goal and three assists. Rodgers scored 12:13 into the second period to make the score 5-3 St. Catharines. Jambrosich picked up the assist.
