The St. Thomas Stars were firing on all cylinders against the Lambton Shores Predators, and when the final buzzer sounded Stars emerged with a 13-4 win.

Braden Hellems had one goal and two assists to lead St. Thomas. Hellems scored on the power play 8:21 into the second period to make the score 5-3 St. Thomas. The Stars had taken the advantage when Lambton Shores' Brendan Trottier got sent off for hooking. Alex Morgan picked up the assist.

The Predators were doomed by their poor performance on special teams, as St. Thomas was able to score four times while on the power play.

The Stars stifled Lambton Shores' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Thomas forced the Predators goalie Justin Fazio to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots.
