In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the St. Thomas Stars escaped with a 4-2 victory over the London Nationals. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Alex Morgan at 8:09 of the second period. St. Thomas was sparked by Chris Carreiro, who finished with one goal. Carreiro scored 3:53 into the third period to make the score 3-1 St. Thomas. John Warren provided the assist. St. Thomas also got points from Brett Van Dusen, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Thomas also got a goal from Spencer Hutchinson as well. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Lucas Triemstra, who had three. London put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Stars to score on any of their three power plays. More assists for London came via Jeff Bauer, who had one. The Stars' Nick Dampier stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. St. Thomas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Liam Herbst recorded 23 saves for London. The Nationals incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
