The Waterloo Siskins and the Brantford 99ers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Waterloo made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Danny Hanlon's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Brantford also got points from Brandon Versamy, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Paris Briscoe also scored for Brantford. Other players who recorded assists for Brantford were Luc Hartholt, who had one.

The Siskins' Ryan Hergott stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Waterloo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Keire rejected 26 shots on goal for Brantford. The 99ers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
