Waterloo wins tough contest against Brantford, 5-3Gretzky Main Rink Thu, Dec 12, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Waterloo Siskins and the Brantford 99ers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Waterloo made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Danny Hanlon's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. The Siskins forced Brantford goalie Andre Keire to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Waterloo was led by Troy Lajeunesse, who registered one goal and one assist. Waterloo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Keire rejected 26 shots on goal for Brantford. The 99ers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
