Chatham outlasts St. Thomas, 6-4

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Chatham Maroons escaped with a 6-4 victory over the St. Thomas Stars.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Trevor Richardson secured the win for Chatham with a goal in the third period.

Richardson was all over the ice for the Maroons, as he finished with two goals in the win.

St. Thomas was unable to stop Chatham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Maroons eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Chatham also got points from Connor Doran, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Adam Arseneault also scored for Chatham. Other players who recorded assists for Chatham were Connor McKinnon, Connor Annett, Oliver Blayne, Michael Verboom, Tanner Ferguson, and Ian Faubert, who contributed one a piece and Kyle Brothers and James McEwen (APM), who each chipped in two.

The Stars forced Chatham goalie Jacob Keogh to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

St. Thomas was helped by Carson Brookshaw, who had one goal. Brookshaw scored 11:13 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Thomas. St. Thomas additionally got points from John Warren, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for St. Thomas included Alex Morgan and Luc Knight, who each put in one. More assists for St. Thomas came via Lucas Triemstra, Cam Garrow, and Aiden Jamieson, who contributed one a piece.

Jacob Keogh made 33 saves for the Maroons on 37 shots. Chatham incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Nick Dampier rejected 39 shots on goal for the Stars. St. Thomas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
