Austin Carroll tallied one point to lead the Fort Erie Meteors to a 4-1 victory over the Niagara Falls Canucks. Fort Erie excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Meteors' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Fort Erie also had goals scored by Josh Micallef, Richard DeMarco, and Kyle Marino, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Fort Erie were Bryce Biller, who had two and Mac Passero, Braden Kavaratzis, Mike Boles, Tyler Allen, Carson Johnstone, and Jared Marino, who contributed one a piece. Niagara Falls stifled Fort Erie's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canucks could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Niagara Falls puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. The Canucks were led by Dylan Savory, who scored the team's only goal. Savory scored 5:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Niagara Falls. Marcus Michalski picked up the assist. The Meteors' Matt Baker stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Fort Erie incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Hunter Johnson took the loss and made 13 saves before being replaced by Dylan Pietrangelo who made seven saves. Niagara Falls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Canucks, Sean Farquharson was ejected from the game.
