Tyler Jackson lifted the St. Catharines Falcons to an 8-1 victory with a hat trick against the Welland Jr. Canadians. Jackson notched his first tally 11:55 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:01 into the first and at 17:21 into the first.St. Catharines forced Welland's goaltenders to work between the pipes, launching 60 shots and forcing 52 saves. Chris Janzen made 17 stops and Liam Conway made 35. The Falcons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
