The Chatham Maroons survived a determined comeback attempt by the Leamington Flyers on the way to a 5-4 win. Chatham made the score 5-3 on a goal by Brayden Hopkins at 13:30 in the third period, and Leamington got as close as 5-4 when Dylan Seguin scored 18:46 into the third period. The Maroons kept the Flyers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Trevor Wheaton made 26 saves on 31 shots. The defensemen of Chatham were also effective in Leamington's zone, and came away with three goals. The Maroons were led by Tanner Ferguson, who tallied three goals and one assist. Chatham additionally got points from Ian Faubert, who also tallied one goal and two assists. In addition, Chatham received assists from Adam Arseneault, who had one and Steven Szekesy, who had three. The Flyers forced Chatham goalie Brendan Johnston to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Leamington gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Flyers give up 2.3 goals per game. Leamington also got points from Mitchell Amante, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Leamington also had goals scored by Alex Seguin and Kyle Quick, who each put in one.
