Jay Clarke netted a hat trick to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires over the St. Thomas Stars, 9-5. Clarke notched his first tally 2:53 into the third period. He then added goals at 14:09 into the third and at 17:35 into the third.Sarnia managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Legionnaires ended up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. Sarnia kept St. Thomas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Dampier made 39 saves on 48 shots. The Legionnaires outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Sarnia averages 4.7 goals per contest. Sarnia additionally got points from Curtis Crombeen, who also registered one goal and two assists, Josh Kestner, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Cody Trowell, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Nathan Mater, who also had one goal and one assist. Jordan Fogarty also scored for Sarnia.
