Arseneault's hat trick boosts Chatham over St. Marys, 6-4

The St. Marys Lincolns could not stop the Chatham Maroons' Adam Arseneault, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-4 win.

Arseneault notched his first tally 11:19 into the second period. He then added goals at 13:04 into the second and at 1:38 into the third.

St. Marys was unable to stop Chatham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Maroons eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Chatham also got points from Trevor Richardson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Chatham included Mark Fratarcangelli and Michael Levesque, who scored one goal each. In addition, Chatham received assists from Connor Annett, who had one and Kyle Brothers, Oliver Blayne, James McEwen (APM), and Ian Faubert, who contributed two a piece.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

The Lincolns were helped by Braydon Blight, who registered one goal. Blight scored on the power play 15:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. A cross checking penalty on Connor McKinnon had put St. Marys on the power play. Nico Giannantonio assisted on the tally. St. Marys additionally got points from Giannantonio, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. St. Marys also had goals scored by Luke Jackson and Mike Siddall, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Rai Diloreto and Ocean Check, who each chipped in one.

Brendan Johnston recorded 25 saves for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Chatham ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Faubert was ejected from the game. The Lincolns' Connor Hughes stopped 35 shots out of the 41 that he faced. St. Marys incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
